Jonathan Downes
Chairman
Mr Downes has more than 25 years’ experience in the mining industry and has worked in various geological and corporate capacities. Mr Downes has experience with nickel, gold and base metals and has also been intimately involved with numerous private and public capital raisings. Mr Downes was a founding director of Hibernia Gold (later renamed Moly Mines Ltd), Siberia Mining Corporation Ltd, Kaiser Reef Limited and Wolf Minerals Limited. Mr Downes is currently a non-executive director of Kingwest Resources Limited, Galena Mining Limited and Corazon Mining Limited; and an executive director of Kaiser Reef Limited.
Mr Peter Woods
Managing Director
Mr Peter Woods has extensive ASX board level experience across various industries and geographies, including significant resources exposure. He has over 15 years’ experience in the financial services industry specialising in corporate finance, capital markets, and project generation. He has successfully managed and raised capital for both unlisted and listed companies, having recently listed a North American uranium focussed exploration company he founded, and has strong capabilities in generating strategic opportunities, business development and driving growth for early-stage companies.
Mr Woods holds a Bachelor of Commerce with a double major in Accounting and Finance from University of Western Australia, together with a Post Graduate Diploma of Applied Finance, and has completed an executive education course on Private Equity and Venture Capital at Harvard Business School, Boston USA. Mr Woods is founding director of Bluebird Capital, a project generation, investment and strategic advisory business based in Perth, Western Australia.
Mr Woods is a Member of the Australian Institute of Company Directors, has held various ASX board positions including Directorships for Matador Mining Ltd (ASX: MZZ), Bunji Corporation Ltd (ASX: BCL), TNT Mines Ltd (ASX:TNT) and is currently on the board of Corella Resources Ltd (ASX:CR9) and Uvre Limited (ASX: UVA).
Dr Oliver Kreuzer
Non-Executive Director
Dr Kreuzer is a Registered Professional Geoscientist (MAIG RPGeo) and company director with a broad skill set in structural, generative and corporate geology honed during a 20+ year career in applied research and mineral exploration across a wide range of gold, base and battery metal and uranium projects across the globe. His generative work laid the foundations to several new company floats, company transforming project acquisitions and new discoveries.
Dr Kreuzer also acts as an Associate Editor of top-ranked geoscience journal Ore Geology Reviews. His extensive research, which covers aspects of structural and ore deposit geology, exploration targeting, risk-value management and decision-making applied to mineral exploration, is published in leading peer-reviewed journals.
Mr Richard Monti
Non-Executive Director
Richard Monti is a geologist with a successful career of over 35 years in the international mineral resource industry resulting in broad industry knowledge and strong strategic planning capabilities. He has first-hand working knowledge of all aspects of the industry from project generation, exploration, resource, feasibility, construction, operations, finance, marketing and divestment, Mr Monti has worked in diverse countries with exposure to most commodities including base metals, nickel, iron ore, coal, industrial minerals, potash and gold.
He also has over 60 director-years’ experience on 15 ASX-listed and TSX-listed mining and exploration companies for micro-caps through to mid-size miners and built and managed teams of up to 70 personnel. He worked for a number of international and Australian companies including Anaconda Nickel, RTZ Exploration, the North Group and the Normandy Group. During a 7-year term ay Anaconda Nickel, he held general manager positions in technical, commercial, and marketing fields.
Mr Monti was a principle of corporate advisory firm, Ventnor Capital, from 2005 to 2010 and is the principle of Terracognita which supplies advice to resource industry companies. He has relationships with broking and banking houses in Australia and Canada.
